and dug all the way to the bottom, then went to the top and jumped into the hole......

would you fall into the sky (before gravity sets in and you plummet back down to earth!!)

If there was a hole drilled through the Earth and out the other side, essenially a shaft running through the center, this is what would happen (assuming no air resistance):
You would accelerate until you reached the center, at which point you would stop getting pulled down by gravity, and inertia takes over. Gravity will start to slow you as you fall up the other side. As you reach the surface, you would come to a stop, only to fall back again.
If you slowed to s stop, you would settle weightlessly at the core with an equal amount of Earth all around you.

You would die because all of the lava in the mantle and crust. the center of the earth is hotter than the sun. And the outer mantle of the earth is a solid so you wouldn't have the power to get through the solid.
