When you first get your ears pierced, you'll need to leave them in for about 6 weeks...and make sure you clean them regularly. But if youre going for a job this summer, make sure you have atleast 6 weeks if not more to keep the earring in so it will not close. After then, you can switch earrings, take them out, etc. But to make sure it doesn't close up, I'd just put the earring back in when you're at home or return from work.

I often go months without wearing earrings and they do close a little bit, but it isn't hard to poke the earring back through (it typically does not close the entire way over a short amount of time.)

Hope this helps!

Now a days an ear pierced is not a major deal as long as it is not taking up the whole lobe and if it is going to be that big of a whole I don't think you have to worry about it closing. But men having ears pierced has become sociably acceptable and I donut think that anyplace is going to make you remove it unless you are entering the military or law enforcement and as long as you do it now and can wear the earring at night this summer your piercing should be just fine

It depends on your body just how quickly the piercing would close up, but since it's going to be a nuw one, it will probably close up fairly quickly.
Maybe you can get one of those really tiny studs to wear in it; some of them are barely noticable. You can ask about it when you go in for the piercing.
If you can't wear an earring at work, then clean the piercing well each morning and evening and wear the studs at night to maintain the opening.

This is somewhat of an individual thing. I've known people who can leave their piercings out for years, and they never close. But others cannot leave them out for a month without them starting to seal up. I doubt most places would object to a small earring. It's the pierced lips and eyebrows that often RAISE eyebrows in a professional setting.

If you have a piercing in for about 2 months, the hole will fully heal and it will never close.

mmm...the real question is, why do you want to work in an environment that will make you hide who you ARE?....MMM???
the holes can close in a matter of hours on some people...i would ask a piercing shop...betcha there's something on the market...some tiny little tube thing to stick in the hole....good luck with this...kinda cool question... peace, tammy

Dont take it out as soon as you have it done..it heals over straight away....but after the hole is ready you can leave them out everyday..but put them back in the night!!
