I would say yes to an extent. He and his brothers grew up in a house where their father was an NFL quarterback. (Archie Manning- New Orleans Saints) I would say like most young boys they want to be like their dad. Im sure Archie also wanted his sons to play and i have seen videos on ESPN of them playing football when they are between 4-6. Eli, Peyton, and Cooper all played in highschool with Cooper and Peyton on the same team. Cooper played WR and Peyton QB obviously. Cooper was the older one and he was given a scholarship to Tennessee but he developed a spinal condition and couldnt play. The rest you know Peyton goes to tennessee gets drafted by colts. Eli goes to Ole Miss gets drafted by the Chargers, Archie and he complain about him and force the chargers to trade him. Eli goes to the giants, Phillip Rivers to the Chargers. Eli underachieves as a starter and Peyton wins 2 MVPs and a Superbowl.

You bet ya !!!!! I followed the Saints in the Archie years and even though the team he was on SUCKED!! NO Linemen slow WR's and a owner that would not spend a dime to help Archie out. But he played under the hardest conditions but still managed good numbers. But in the end he got the most important infomation he can pass down to Peyton and Eli, That is to read Defenses like a comic book. As for career yes Archie looked into those teams before draft time and knew the Colts was a good fit for Peyton and the Giants for Eli. The main reason that Eli did not want to go the SD was his Dad felt with Drew Brees was a very good QB and his son could be a 2nd string for a long time before he would get a start. So he opt a trade to NY. But hindsight is 20/20 Drew is in New Orleans
