can anyone of native american blood tell me what the name Red Winter means and how this name came about? its sioux or Arikira.i think..thanx

Hi there!

I am not of 'Native American' blood. I just have a suggestion in case you havn't tryed this already. Go on the net and type in First Nations discussions. Try a few different things along that line. I was on something called Corn Maiz I think it was. Sorry, if I had more time right now I would go back and check it properly for you but I don't. There might be someone on there that can help you with this.

Granted, it seemed to be a lot of venting and searching for family when I dropped in. But, there were a lot of people just trying to get basic information. So maybe you might just find out what you need to know. Please be careful though! There is always someone ready to pull your leg or take you for a ride so to speak.

I agree this is a serious thing. These names have stories behind them.
