On Friday March 2, 2007 I deposited a Financial Aid check from my childs school into his checking account. When I went to check the deposit on line today Saturday the money is not their. The deposit was made at 1:00pm on Friday March 2 before the close of business so it should have showed up on Friday. I call the bank today Saturday and they have no record of me making a deposit of his check into his checking account. Yes I do have my deposit slip showing where the money was deposited into his account. I call the 1-800 hundred number and gave the person on the other end all of the information that was on the deposit slip that I receive from the tailer and was told that she would get back with me in 48 hours. Has anyone ever had this experience when making a deposit with a check? Do anyone have any idea what could have happen with the deposit that was made?.

As long as you have the receipt dont worry. Check Monday. Usally a deposit might not be into the system until after the weekend. bettyk

This has happened to me twice. One time, the bank put an hold on my IRS refund check because of the amount. The second time the teller entered the wrong account number. The second time the bank corrected the problem immediately. The first time took some work on my part. Good luck!
