I wouldn't get so hasty dismissing KG. Remember what the Wolves were like before him?
Even though Marbury is pretty darn worthless now (whatever on the court benefits he still brings he takes away by being a locker room cancer) Minnesota has never found consistent PG play since he left. In 2004 they made the Western Conference finals under Cassell's leadership but he's not the same player anymore either.
I'm not so sure Foye and McCants are the answer. Obviously James has to go he's the basketball equivalent of a one hit wonder.
If I'm the Wolves I look into acquiring Mike Bibby. I'd be willing to part with McCants, Ricky Davis, or Foye to make it happen. Depending on Scouting I might try and take one of those players and the Minnesota first round pick to move up in the draft if I didn't like the players who were likely to fall to me. And oddly enough Minnesota missing the playoffs might be in their best interest, unless its the final straw that breaks the camel's back and has KG demanding a trade.
I'm not sure who the top Free Agents are this year, but I think the T-Wolves need to address the PG position. They also need a defensive rebounding Center in the Tyson Chandler mold, a SG like Ricky Davis (only with consistency) and they need to add a scoring threat off the bench along with more depth.

Well, trade KG to the Lakers for Kwame, Mihm or even a guy like Brian Cook.
Get rid of those players who suck like Mike James, Trenton Hassel. Hire a good coach to lead the team. Since they fired Flip Saunders, they've been a team with inconsistency.
This team should focus on their young guns like Foye and McCants. KG REALLY has to go.

Its time to rebuild!! Trade away Garnett and Ricky Davis and start to build around james, foye and mccants. That is probably the only way that they can get a good team back in Minnesota.

Trade KG. He said "thank god for opt outs" which means that after next year the T'Wolves are screwed and they lose KG for absolutely nothing. I would trade him to maybe Chicago, who has so many young players (Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, Luol Deng, NY Knicks picks, etc.) or another team to rebuild. This team is going nowhere. They picked up Mike James, who absolutely sucks. Get rid of bad contracts somehow (trade to Knicks?) for expirings.

They need to start over obviously . Trade KG for some pick(s) and young players. I'd send phone calls to the Lakers and Bulls seeing what they'll give for KG.
Glen Taylor should fire Kevin McHale the T-Wolves were on pace to make the playoffs with Casey and McHale fired him so McHale's got to go.

They will at least get some first picks, re-build, get young players,
it takes time to build up and play well to-gether, Avery Johnson has turned Dallas around, coaching staff is a key factor besides the players.

They should trade Garnett to the Celtics, who'll probobly have the first pick in the draft, for their 1st draft pick, 2nd praft pick and maybe someone like Gerald green or Rajon Rondo, then use their 1st pick on Oden 2nd pick on somebody. then they'll have a team consisting of
G- Foye
G- McCants
F- Green
F- Blount
C- Oden
That sowld be a good lineup
