Start> control panel> my computer> view system information> advanced> performance> advanced> virtual memory> change.

Change the value to one higher than is currently set, for example 333 changes to 600, this speeds up your virtual memory.

Running CCcleaner and checking for spyware will only help a little, perform this task after you have done those checks and see the difference.

You can:
1. Do a virus scan
2. Do a Disc Fragmentor
3. Do a Disc cleanup (always good)
4. Clean you History and Cookie files (go to the Internet page, then: Tools> Internet Options> Delete Cookies/Clear History)

Do all these and you would be okay. :)

i might propose backing up your information to a FLASHchronic, then reinstalling vista (ideally abode windows 7) you will in all probability spend much less time doing a sparkling deploy than performing uninstall projects. The sparkling deploy is going to grant you a registry that's not bloated and that's what's extremely slowing your device down. interior the top you would be lots happier.

You could do a clean re-install of exactly the opsys and programs you have now - you'll find that the barnacles that windows collects as it goes along will drop off. But if your time costs more than minimum wage, you'll find more memory is cheaper.

either do a disk defragment and a disk clean just push start go to "all programs" go to "accessories" then go to "system tools" then you should see them.

or if your a little bit of a computer guru then you can overclock your cpu and squeez alittle more power from it altho if you dont know what your doing you can cause it to over heat or crash

i overclocked mine from a 1.83ghz to a 2.03ghz so it can be done and mine hasnt crashed or overheated
