wtf mate? she thinks you'll get raped??? how old are you? cause i've been wearing bikini's scince i was like seven. whetev, whenever u go into a store like tillys or like pac sun or something like that, just like pick one up and be like, omg mom, isnt this so cute? and if she says like no or something like that, just be like, mom, everyone wears bikinis and they dont get raped, anyways, its not like im naked. and just to make her happy, get one thats like a halter and has a thicker band under the bust so its not like a string bikini.

Your mom is afraid that you will get raped because you will wear a bikini? I'm sorry but that is TOO FAR! I wear bikinis all the time. I have been wearing bikinis since I was like, seven! And I haven't even been touched!

OMG! A bikini is just the same as any other type of swimsuit. I could wear a bikini since I was probably 4 and besides you are not going to get raped just because you're wearing a bikini!

I could never wear a bikini! lol..I was able to wear a tankini and that is probably something your mom will let you wear. There are some cute ones out there. There are also modest ones. Maybe she is just old fashioned or doesn't want your top falling off when you come out the water real fast! She should go shopping with you! Best of luck!

Try a 'tankini' first. They're two-piece, but a little longer than a bikini. After that your mom may allow you to wear a bikini.

Maybe you could comprimise for a tankini. It's a two piece but the top is more like a tanktop than a bra. And maybe go for a cute polka-dot pattern that will seem more modest, but playful at the same time. Good luck!

tell her your friends wear them and that they are fine, have her talk to a friend's mom, tell her it's more comfortable. some bikinis show less skin than others, maybe you could compromise.
