not only is it crashing it already has,, sounds like u need to re-install XP..this wont erase any of your existing files,,, get a winXP iinstall CD, make sure your BIOS is set as the cdrom to be first boot device, and let windows do the rest!

The blue screen is probably flashing by so fast because you have set it to autoreboot after a error has occured. What you probably want to try is to 'repair windows xp installation' which is one of the options when you use the windows xp cd. However alot of companies (dell, hp, gateway) dont send a cd along with the computer because its somehow cheaper. If you were not given a CD and got it through one of the major companies then you can call them and request a install cd. I usually tell them that someone installed a pirate version of xp and you need the origional one to install it properly because you dont condone piracy (etc etc). If you do have the cd, go through the setup process and when it asks if you want to 'repair' or 'reinstall', choose the repair option so that it will preserve your data.

I had a friend that recently was hit with a power surge. Luckily the hardware was all OK, but the PC wouldn't boot into Windows XP. I took the hard drive out of the PC, and placed it into a friend's PC as a slave drive. During boot up, it scanned the drive and repaired all of the corrupted files. I returned the drive to the original location, making sure the jumper was set to master or C/S. It boot up just fine. (You should be doing back-ups too young man ;-) )

If it is only a .wpa file issue, you will be able to fix it by using your XP set up disc. Just do a repair install, your documents and programs will be fine, if you delete the partition you will lose your documents, probably. When you put in the start up disc, just follow the instructions, use first option "Repair Console" repair partition 1, type in fixmbr.
Check to see if you boot normally, if not then bypass this repair option and use the second repair option, you will have to press enter to install windows, then F8 to agree to the EULA (end user license agreement). Then press "R".
This will repair your OS files.

ah ........... go start ... go 'run' and type in "msconfig"

choose "diagnostic start-up"
restart your windows, after that insert your win xp cd, and reinstall. That way, u won't lose any data.

OR do u have system restore ........... they help 90% most of time. You must always do create point of system restore next time every 2 days.

sorry, i am not at your pc, so i dont know what's the real prob, maybe u install recent application that made windows crash or could be worse. .............. SPYWARE/VIRUS/MALEWARE

sounds like your harddrive is on it way out.....if you can get it started, start backing up your files as quickly as possible... once you have backed up all of your documents and music or whatever it is you need to save, you will have to do a system restore or get a new harddrive.....if you cant backup anything if it never starts, take your drive out and put it into another computer as a slave drive (either on another computer you have or a friend who is willing to help you) and you can recover the files that way if the drive isnt too damaged.............good luck

You might have a corrupted system. You could try system restore if you can get to it...

The blue screen says that something was trying to delete a critical system file, or something.

This is most obviously a memory problem. It might have gone bad. But that being said it could also be a hard drive problem. But 90% of the time its memory that is the problem.
