Yes bees love them. Be sure to place it somewhere it has plenty of room to grow they can get quite big.

After reading some of these answers I would like to add one thing. Bees will leave you alone. They are not a problem. They are essential to almost everything we put on our table. I have many plants in my yard for the single purpose of attracting these workhorses of agriculture. If you don't have problem with them they won't with you.

Don't pay any attention to them and they will leave u alone! Trust me, they're ntot there to interupt ur day! I've had em fly right in front of my face a thousand times while i was on my swing with plants on either side and they never even looked at me! Just act as if they aren't there, it's the sudden movements of swatting(or even running away) that gets them all worked up.

I don't know how many is a bunch. I have one and it does attract quite a few bees .... not a swarm though. It also attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, katydids, praying mantis, red finches and sphinx moths.
