You need to use at any rate a very good solution for brittle and weak nails. I had some problems and I started to use regularly one regime for maintaining my nails strong and healthy.
1) Use at least twice a week lemon juice, massage gently over the nails and palms too. It is ideal for strengthening your nails and keeping them not yellowish.
2) Apply every time before you put a nail varnish a base for growing and strengthening your nails. I do recommend you "Manhattan" or "Max Factor, but of course you can use any other proven brand.
3) Take vital vitamins and minerals, which help to restore the balance from inside out. Those are Zinc, Calcium, Magnesium, Selen, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and B-group.
It'll be easier to buy a special complex for strengthening nails and hair, as "Revalid" or "Pantogar" ( within a month you'll forget about your problem!!).
Hope that helps!
Wish you luck!

How is your overall health? You may want to talk to your doctor about that, it sounds kind of serious. Otherwise, take vitamins, always wear gloves when you clean or do dishes and there is a really great product for weak nails called Nailtiques that is a base coat for under polish or you can just put a coat on every day. I buy it at a salon in the mall. Good luck.

Use Nailtique #2 every day for one months. After that just use it as base and top coat. You going to have great nails.
Nailtique cost about $10 there is a generic something like Nailtek for about $6. First moth you will use one bottle, use the real one. You can switch to the generic afterwards.

Use strengthener in a clear polish and take a multi-vitamin. I've been taking a One-a-Day for women, for like, a month, and my nails have grown so much. Mine also used to peel.
