Ive just found out Im having a baby girl. Ive chosen the first name - Seren - means starlight in welsh, but im stuck on a second name for her. So far ive come up with: Iris, Grace, May, April. What do u think of these? Can u think of anything else that may go? Please no Madisons, Ashlynns etc.
thanks

I like the name Seren...I haven't heard it before, but it's pretty.
I'm imagining it almost rhymes with Karen?
I also like Grace. I think if you are going to choose a 2-syllable middle name, you should try to have the accent fall on the 2nd syllable.
For example:
Seren Christine
Seren Joelle
Seren Marie
Seren Justine
Seren Maurae (or Maureen or Marae)
Seren Colleen
Seren Elise
Of course, the classic middle name of Elizabeth works with almost anything somehow, but you can probably get away with anything that doesn't end with an -en sound.
(i.e. no Seren Arwyn Seren Morgan which are just to "n-ee")
A couple other longer names I think would sound ok would be Seren Olivia, Seren Angelica, Seren Alyssa...
I also think with one syllable names you should go for something with a long vowel sound. I would like May, but the N of seren next to the m of May isn't working for me somehow. (I don't know why, perhaps because there isn't a lot of sound following as there is with a 2 syllable name like Marie) Hmmm. now that I'm thinking of other 1 syllable names, I don't like them with Seren, except for Grace.
Well, this is getting longwinded, and since I don't know your last name, I can't give you any firm ideas...Just make sure her initials don't spell something you don't love (like, Seren Alice Dougherty, or Seren Iris Neville)

I like Grace. It has a special meaning for me. My sister, named Grace died when she was 2. Back in 1991. I also like Seren May. I'm not so big on Seren April. I do like Seren Lily
I really hope this helps!!
