Try this, buy a trick candle, light it, and then douse it in water. It will go out, and stay out, I imagine the same priciple would apply to the factory. You would just need some patience, and alot more water!

Yes, actually. I was 13 when an outlet from 1937 burst into flames. I pushed my bed into it, smothering out the fire. so, I was such a hero. we replaced the outlet, and the rest of the 70 year old outlets later that day. I nearly burned down my dorm "easy" mac in a microwave. I put it in for 13:00 instead of 1:30. yeah... fire alarm at 2AM. everyone in Norton House loved me that night.
