Michigan won't make the NCAA tournament without winning the Big Ten tournament, and they don't have a prayer of doing that.
George Mason was a shock because they were a relatively unknown team from a mid-major conference. Last time I checked, Michigan isn't.
If you're looking for a sleeper from a mid-major, look to a Southern Illinois or a Butler, even though both of those teams have been ranked throughout the season. SIU has a good chance of pulling down at worst a 4 seed in the NCAA's.

I dont think any mid major has a chance at making the kind of run george mason made last year, but if i had to put my money on a team pre-selection and placement, id have to go with UNLV...
Villanova is an extremely dangerous team that has been relatively over-looked but i cant really call them a "george mason" since they are in a power confrence that will send the most teams this year.

none, no team will go past the elite 16 that is like george mason. There just arent a whole lot of mid major schools that i consider sleepers. I dont include Southern Illinois, Butler, or Memphis in that group because they are highly ranked teams.

Winthrop, they came close to beating Wisconsin (doube overtime I think) and Wisconsin is assured a no.1 seed (UCLA lost to Washington today). Winthrop also beat some really good teams.
