oh a wide variety of stuff, some very old traditional songs at home, to "techno" in the clubs. there is a lot of western stuff especially from europe and austrsila some in english some translated into vietnamese.. it can sound a bit "hoaky" unyill you get use to it. i've read there are a lot of traditional music cafes opening in ha noi, and i know of a number of jazz clubs frequented by vietnamese youth.. the music in viet nam is very eclectic especially in the tourest areas. but mostly they listen to new "pop" viet namese rock and sing traditional songs learned at school.

it is still POP , the younger generation like it, i think it is easy to hear with a young nice singers ( as My Tam, she is N.o 1 now, Ho Huynh Huong, Quang Vinh, he is also N.1 for teen, and boybands, girlbands.However, Dan ca ( country songs ) is popular now, and u can realize it is not taken form outside artists, u can hear Cam Ly, Quang Linh...

many kinds of music. some vietnamses song such as country song, POP, English song, European part, some RAP. etc.
i, however, listen to old American song like in the mid 50's to 80's.
p.s.: no i'm not old, but i like to listen to old song..:)
