if a person loves another, they should love them for what they are. if the muslim guy wants a girl(or vice versa) to convert so they can marry is a really low form of emotional blackmail. such a person does not merit love
Ps:
KvgDoss
what do u mean by "yes if u want to be straight forward"?
can u extrapolate a bit on that statement of urs?
And as for the ration card/voting what not, why cant she put in her religion as hindu? surely her husband being a musim would not have any say on what she puts down on those documents as her religion is, right? so why did u put it there as some valid reason?
and as per the religious requirements thingie, as i had stated earlier, if the guy does not love her as who she is and would want her to convert, whats the assurance that he wont do the same later in life? what if he wants to do something? do u really think he would value the opinion of his wife?
if he insists that she should convert, what he is saying is that she will not have any say in any of the decision they would make later in their life.
what if he decides to go off with another women? because surely, if he did not care enough about hurting his future wive's feelings when he asks her to convert, then surely he would not care to divorce her and go after another women.
how would it be for a women to know that all her decisions/views would be ignored by her husband? thats why i said that such a a guy would not be appropriate.
my gf is buddhist and im hindu, but we would never even THINK of asking the other to convert! we respect each other too much to be that cheap!

as I understand the Hindu religion women are not subjugated but held in esteem can hold public office and are not forced to cover up and all that stuff,,,,If you marry a Muslim he will force you to do that and you will become a 2nd class citizen
I do not think it is worth the risk

Yes according to religious requirements.
Yes if you want to be straight forward.
Yes for record purposes. For example for passport/Ration card/Voter Id card one of the question will be your religion you have to write your religion - what will you write there.
