With which team do you think Minnesota Twins' ace, Johan Santana, will end up on? If he's moving from MN, when do you think he'll be gone?

I'd like to see him stay with the Twins, I think he's becoming one of the faces of the team, and I think of him when I hear "Minnesota Twins". I know the Twins don't spend big money, but they should make an effort to reach into Pohlad's billion dollar pockets and sign him.

Not to be picky here, but it wasn't the Twins who totally "raised" Santana. He was chosen from Houston in the Rule 5 draft after the '99 season.

I think he'll stay in Minnesota.

He's not a free agent until after 2008, so if the Twins for some reason think that they won't be able to sign him I think they will move him at the deadline next year.

PECOTA says he'll be worth $22M in 2 years! If so, it will come down to the usual customers, either of the NY teams, Boston or even the Angels could jump in here. The have the best prospects of the group if Minnesota decides to trade him.

I'm a Twins fan and it would be devastating to have Johan leave. I feel like we can make a push to re-sign him, especially with the new stadium opening in three years. Of course trying to lock up Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Santana, Hunter, and Nathan to long-term deals is going to be tough and someone is going to be left out--probably Hunter.

If by some chance he were to leave Minnesota, I pray he goes to the NL where we don't have to face him. The Twins would get some seriously nice prospects in return regardless.

Since his contract is up in 2008. I see a major bidding war between the big market teams namely, the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Mets.

I would say he'll be the first $150 million dollar pitcher and he'll be worth it.

And him leaving MN will suck @ss since I just bought his jersey not too long ago.

I would possibly believe that he will end up on the Yankees pitching as their top ace. Johan is destined to end up on the Yankees because he is the best pitcher in the MLB and the Yankees are the best team in the MLB, so don't you see a little connection formed in between them? He will pick up the number 58 on the Yankees in 2008-2010, and I will commit suicide if any of this is wrong.

He is staying on the Twins. Or the Yankees or Red Soxs will make a huge deal to sign him

I agree that he will go to one of the big market teams. But a dark horse could be the Chicago Cubs, who may be sold to an owner who only cares about winning and not the bottom line.

I'd love to see him stay with Minnesota. Just because I like to see players stay with the team that "raised" them.

But with free agency the way it is today, it could be anywhere.
If he does decide to go anywhere, I hope it's the National League.

But we dont have to worry about that until next year.
