my sister just had a baby and we're looking for something to call our grandparents. i was thinking something in greek or italian, maybe even scottish. please give me some good ideas.

* English to Greek
Grandfather: παππούς
Grandmother: γιαγιά

Scottish to English
auld-faither: grandfather
auld-mither: grandmother

How about (Irish):
Da = Grandfather
Mum = Grandmother

my kids call their grandparents (italian) Nana and Poppop. The plus side is it was a lot easier to say than grandma and grandpa so the started saying it earlier =)
