I want to do pre-med one i get into college. Right now I'm a jnior making up my mind about my classes next year.
So far in my schedule is: AP Literature, AP Psychology, AP Government and Politics, AP Biology, Honors Pre-Calc, and Journalistic Writing(which is our school newspaper that i've been a part of since i was a freshman).
I recently realized that i don't want to take both AP Psych and AP Gov...so which AP credit would help me out more when i'm in college?

First, I think that your schedule may be just a bit overhwelming. You might want to consider a non-academic elective to round out your schedule. AP classes are extremely demanding, and you want to be able to do your best in each.

That being said, if you want to take one more AP class, I would look at the course catalogs for the colleges you are considering. Find out what credit they offer for different AP courses, and what test scores you need to get those credits. Look as well at what their general degree requirements are - essentially, see which course will give you the most bang for your buck. If you are looking a pre-med, you might only need one government course in college - if the AP course can fulfill that, it would be great!

Your guidance counselor is the best resource when considering class choices. He or she could research the colleges/universities you are interested along with your major to determine the best classes for you to take at this time.
Pre-Med for college is heavy in the sciences. Poli-Sci is also a required course at college level. So they are both excellent classes, you and your guidance counselor can determine which is best for you.

Take Gov't and Politics. That way you'll be exempt from taking a social studies class in college and you can take the Psych class when you get there. Taking Psych in college will give you better insight than in high school

I am pre-med myself. It depends on whether you plan on attending a state school or a university. They have different undergraduate requirements. Also schools in different states have different requirements also. I would compile a list of schools you are interested in applying to and find out which classes you need. Then pick the one that most of them want.
