www.theukelectoralroll.co.uk will allow you to search every electoral roll by full name and date of birth for a period of one month for 1 month for less than £10.
If your daughter has registered to vote in the UK, this will find her if her surname is the same as it was.
Also, www1.salvationarmy.org.uk are said to be very good at finding people.
