Since I do not know what silver coin you have there, I suggest:
1) you get hold of a coin book such as The Standard Catalog of World Coins, or The Red Book for US coins.
2) visit this site for quick ID and base value of you silver coin:
http://www.worldcoingallery.com/
3) post another question or add additional info to this question.

Good luck.

Well it depends on what year it is from and the condition it is in.
You can search on ebay to see how much the coins are worth based on the price of the ones on ebay. You also might want to go to a local coin shop.

If you had listed it here, I could have told you. With out a date, denomination and mint mark if any, I can't help you. Go see a local coin dealer.
