I just saw the solution to dark circles on the TODAY SHOW a couple of days ago. It sounds crazy, but put potato slices over your eyes. The high potassium content will clear up the circles pronto!

Try the Bisque concealer from BareMinerals. Just apply it over your problem areas (such as under your eyes, acne, uneven skin tones, etc) and then apply your regular foundation (if you use it) over it. It makes the dark spots under your eyes a lot less noticable -- it worked wonders for me!!! The price is kind of expensive at first, but believe me, it's worth it (and a container will last you up to a year, depending on how much you use).
Another great idea that also works is to keep a few metal spoons in the freezer at all times. Place a frozen spoon over each eye for about a minute or two, and after removing, your eyes should seem less puffy or dark.
Good luck -- hope this helps you!!! :D

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

If they are a brownish color you might want to use a under eye cream to brighten them up. I use (Origins Dr.Weil's Plantidote Mega-Mushroom eye serum $42). It's pricey, but the younger you start, the younger you'll look longer! If they have a bluish color, like mine, then it's your under eye veins, which now can be removed with surgery. I prefer using a light yellow concealer just to dot the bluish parts and then I apply my ivory concealer on. Remember that your under eye skin also requires lots of sleep, water, no puling or tugging when applying makeup, and very important (SPF). Don't stress over this and just do your basic every day care I mentioned above and you'll survive!

I have the same thing from genetics, but recently I've been having trouble sleeping and they got worse. So I heard about this stuff from Clinique called All About Eyes. It's is amazing! It's expensive, but worth the money. I love it :)

If it's genetic there is nothing you can do to make them go away like cucumber slices, tea bags or more sleep. You'll need a concealer. Visit your a makeup counter for the different concealer options.
