I have like 400 wheat pennies ($4 face value) I can't seem to get a price for them on the internet. I want to get the best price I can. Any ideas?

A lot depends on their condition. Here's a link that you can go to. Then look on the left side of the page and click on Explore and Learn. Then click on Coin Grading Guide. That will give you an idea of what condition your coins are in. Also this company purchases coins if you're interested in selling. Good luck.

Also, some pennies will be fairly low in value, but others can be worth a lot. If they're a double die (stamped twice with the date - the date looks like you're seeing double when you look at it) they can be worth quite a bit more. You should look around this coin site and it will give you some ideas about what you should look for. I've never sold to Littleton, but I've purchased quite a few coins from them. I've always liked dealing with them.

Coins are kind of like this. If you are buying, then they are worth buckets full of money and if you are selling, then they are worth face value to a about 3 cents each when talking about pennies. Everyone has jars of these sitting around as billions were made. I love Queens. Jackson heights was packed with Jewish money in the past. On the boarder between Jackson Heights and Flushing you have the best ice cream parlor in new york.

Rolls of mixed wheat cents are selling from $2.50 a roll to $5.00 a roll and they both include shipping. I bet the guy selling at $2.50 sells more than the $5.00 person. The person at $3.00 a roll may be in second place. I can go through my local dealers wheat cent bin and have my choice at 2 cents each. Check them to see if you don't have a scarce coin in the group.

A penny is worth one cent because it is a penny.
