It would be great if he were king. The only problem is there would be too many court jesters ie: The Democratic Party.

The only way you could do that is a convoluted sequence of improbabilities:
1) warfare within the United States breaks out _before_ Bush leaves office.
2) the President declares "Marshall Law", which gives him the authority to ...
3) postpone elections until the emergency is over.
4) the emergency is _never_ over
5) the military decides they'd rather have Bush as a king than return to normal.
6) the people decide that's cool, so they don't rebel
Bottom line, -- it ain't gonna happen.
By the way, why would you want it to? Bush is our current President, but arguably not the best we've ever had.

Very good idea. And then we do not have to worry about these elections every 4 years. Anyways, they did not elect the right person for two times in a row. At least we will give Bush a free hand to wage war against whoever he wants, without democrats messing around. But what will Cheney become then ? And the Bush twins will be pricesses, I suppose.

Too late. He's already king. Self-annointed, for sure, but totally without oversight from any other branches of government. He's functioning as a monarch - and so, he is....by any definition already on a throne. But, the good news is that he can be removed. We can impeach the king..... if we have the guts.

I hereby appoint him King of Crawford, where he can sit on his throne all day and clear brush when the spirit moves him. He's not allowed to leave his kingdom, however, because he does too much harm.
