I do not think there are electronic versions of the Harry Potter books. JK Rowlings wanted to avoid the piracy issue totally, so she did not authorize eBook versions.

J.K. Rowling has never authorized any ebook versions so if you find one, it will be a pirated book or no book at all. Very likely you'll be paying for a poor quality scanned copy if you get anything for your money. The problem with buying a pirated book is you can't complain to anyone if you don't get it.

The other downside to buying pirated books is the author doesn't get paid. In the case of J. K. Rowling, it doesn't matter as much, but the average author depends heavily on their book income. If they don't get it, pretty soon they end up in other careers and don't have time to write. If you value an author's work, buy their actual books and not pirated versions or free copies.
