No one told me I was not supposed to drink more than 2-3 cups a day when I was pregnant with my son 6 years ago. I probably drank about a pot a day. He has to be one of the most relaxed/melancholy children I have ever seen. As for red bull there's no way I personally would drink an energy drink. Considering the taurine and 2 cups of sugar in it.

Anything is huge quantities is bad, but 4-6 cups daily just seems to me like a great way to get hydration and antioxydants... doesn't sound too dangerous to me! Asians drink lots of green tea and sure don't seem to have any complications, only benefits.

Medical research has shown substantial health benefits for people who drink 4 or more cups of green tea every day. According to a review article in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition (April 2006) "recent human studies suggest that green tea may contribute to a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease and some forms of cancer". Additional benefits include:
1) decreased blood pressure
2) improved oral health
3) body weight control
4) antibacterial effects
5) antiviral effects
6) protection against solar UV radiation
7) increased bone mineral density
8) anti-fibrotic effects
9) neuroprotective effects.

So, keep enjoying this health promoting activity!

Best wishes.
