I'm looking to buy a laptop, but a friend of mine said this processor sucks. I trust his opinion, but it's always good advice to seek a second opinion. Here is the processor:
Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology with interrelated Intel® Core™2 Duo mobile processor T5200

2 gigs of RAM and here is the video card:
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 with 256MB discrete video memory
Thanks for your help!

For a laptop processor, that's one of the most if not the absolute commonest ones around. The only other dual core worth looking at is the AMD Turion.
Manufacturers make the choice for you.

I'd say its a good processor. Did your friend elaborate why he doesn't like it? I sure would like to know. Newegg, while they don't seem to have that exact processor, has plenty of similar mobile processors with great feedback from customers.
