I would really appreciate if anybody could tell me which are the requirements for an international student, since i don´t know that much about the admission programs of US Universities; i would like to get into Princeton (as my first choice for an undergraduate degree) or Stanford (for a master´s in astro/aeronautical engineering). I am currently in college so i wonder if they require students to apply during their high school period.
I would also like to hear your opinions about my academic status because i am not quite sure if it is very relevant, however i am very confident about being totally able to study in these universities. I am 18 and have a private pilot license with an instrument rating, i speak spanish, german, french, english (a bit of russian), i am on my first year in mechanical engineering, i play some sports as well and i got a rating in aviation mechanics.
.. what if i haven´t been at the top of my class but i get the highest scores in the SATs?

I'm a Princeton undergrad right now; are you planning to apply here as a transfer student (i.e. transferring from another university)? I am very sorry to tell you that Princeton, for several years, has not accepted any transfer students (I don't know why--it has had some wierd rules; perhaps the retention rate is too high or something??). But that was 2 years ago; you should check back with the Princeton Admissions Office (Tel: 609-258-3060) to find out whether or not they accept transfer students now.

As for international student status, I can tell you that there is not really an additional requirement in place for international students, except that if English is not your mother tongue, then you need to take the TOEFL. The main difficulty as an international student, I think, lies in getting your student visa from the U.S. immigration (as a Canadian it is easy--just apply at the border, but for some countries, interviews and visa rejection are not impossible).

Good luck!

i have to be honest, your chances are slim for getting in...but there is a differance between probable and possible...in other words, it can't hurt to try, but be sure...it will cost with no certantity on the outcome.
hope you're an einstein with lots of money...otherwise
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU
