Detroit is so predictable and boring within the 15 or 20 yardline it stinks..... they have been that way for years since way back before the Heidi game.........why don't they ever change? I think I could call better plays than those guys making millions for Detroit..other teams are so much more imaginative and creative and they play like PROS instead of timid high/schoolers.

Interesting. When teams are winning its not uncommon to see conservative plays like a run on 3rd and 7, which would normally be a passing down but since that logic doesnt apply to the Lions. My best guess would be that they dont have confidence in their players and play calling so they do conservative because no one can blame them if they take a risk and dont get it but of course going conservative is taking a risk. So its because dont believe in their players. There is a black cloud looming over every player that plays for that organization.

I see you are not familiar with Mike Martz. If you want imaginative plays, wait until he gets full control of the offense this year.

I am not a Martz fan, but his guy is the ultimate manipulator and offensive mind. He will have the most influence in the war room come draft day and the Lions will draft primarily offense. I say he gets a QB in the first round, a tight end or receiver in the second, and a RB or OL in the third. The second day of the draft, Marinelli will get to chose some defensive guys.

Detroit's been a pass-heavy team since Martz became their coordinator. That isn't exactly a smart way to go when you've got 3 1st round pick receivers who don't care about anything other than wasting all the money they're paid and a career backup for a starting QB. They need to draft a QB this year and therefore should hope that Oakland blows its pick on Daunte Culpepper clone JaMarcus Russell, leaving them Brady Quinn.

it fairly is likewise the Lions first sellout at Ford field in modern weeks. Their final 3 homestead video games have been domestically blacked out, and that i replaced into shocked to be certain that this activity offered out. i will no longer be able to have faith that there is a sturdy style of Lions followers who think of that they might incredibly pull off the disenchanted. I stay in the Detroit section, and that i replaced into listening to a community radio station the different day. human beings have been calling in asserting that it would take place. this is what i think of: no longer a raffle. The Lions would be incredibly embarrassed after in the present day's activity. It won't additionally be close. Prediction: Tennessee 31, Detroit 10 chuffed Thanksgiving!

If you think Detroit is predictable you should watch the Carolina Panthers.

One game last season (in a win, somehow) they three a total of 5 pass plays. 5 pass plays in an entire game.

They have Steve Smith and Keyshawn Johnson, but for some reason, every single third and short play they ever have, its a run play. John Fox is the worst coach... ugh...

It's frustrating as a fan.

Because the Lions realize no matter what players they have on their team,or who's coaching them, they suck. They are cursed, doomed to live in the toilet of the NFL as long as it exists.

Probably not enough talent for other plays. Could be a lack of trick plays. Maybe just boring coaching.

Probably because their playbook is simpler than a Pop Warner team's.
