Ok i am trying to get pregnant and have used ovulation tests to find out the right time. My ovulation was 21 days after 1st day of my period. I am now 14 days after ovulation and any tests i have done all show negetive! Im wondering is it possible that a positive test could show later than 14 days past ovulation? If there are any genuine women who have been in the same position id love to hear your story and any advice! Today is saturday and i have read that usually a woman gets her perion 14 days or so after ovulation, so that would leave me due on monday.....but the early preg tests are still neg.....really trying now to stress myself out but need some good advice. Could i still have a chance of pregnancy??? Thanks in advance to any ladies who can help me out!

hey im not actually at the stage of getting pregnant as i am still youn in age but from my child development ourse that i at present am taking part in i can tell you what i know.

The best time to concieve is the 14th day of your period so thats say 7 days after you have finished as you are more fertile at this time.

Also The home testing kits arent always correct. don't fret if you checked to see if your pregnant straight away. if after conceiving you tried the home test try it 2 weeks later because the pregnancy hormone doesnt kick in straight away. hope this has helped a bit! Good luck!

OPKs can be very unreliable. They detect a surge of LH surge which does proceed ovulation in many cases. However, it's also entirely possible to have more than one LH surge but not ovulate. The body geared up to ovulate but did not for whatever reason.

I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

You could still be pregnant. If you don't get your period in a week then test again. Sometimes the luteal phase, the phase after ovulation can be as long as 17 days. if you are pregnant you might not have enough hcg in your urine.
