Make sure your Xbox has its own IP address. Make sure your router is assigning an IP address to your counsole in the first place.

Hi your 360 will recognise your wireless network if you are using a microsoft wireless adapter. The problem is that your router isn't recognising the wireless adapter. You will need to allow the adapter and the 360 in your allow list on your router by the mac addresses. Go to wireless access list and just add the adapter and the 360. To check if its working its best to disable any wireless security and then enable it later when you got it working. I have 360 withe belkin wireless gaming adapter with wireless netgear router. If you need any more help look at some of my other answers or drop me an email.

hopefully the answer I'm about to give you will help, i had the same problem and i found out you have to enable something called shared Internet connection, what you do is get onto the properties section of your Internet connection, hopefully they should be an icon on the quick launch bar in the bottom right hand corner, with mine i have something say in speedtouch adsl modem so hopefully whatever you have should be similar but if not it should still work if you can get onto the properties section. click on advanced in the properties box and there should be a box say in Internet connection sharing, make sure all 3 boxes have a tick in them, hopefully this should work, if not maybe it is within the area you live or your Internet company

I'm not entirely sure if this is the case, but I think you may have a firewall up and thats the reason why you cannot connect.
