I have fine hair and it is really hard to do stuff with it. I like the look of it up but it doesn't stay up to well so every single day I wear it down. I'm tired of that look so I was wondering if you could tell me your favorite products from shampoo to gel to hair ties. I also would like to know good styling tips. THANKS!!!

Mark Anthony Thick Shampoo, Conditioner and Thickening Cream are amazing. I have very thin hair, but after using these products, my hair feels much thicker. Available at CVS. Target, Eckerd.

I also have this problem. I generally buy salon products that are labeled for thin/fine hair. Then when I want an updo, I blow dry as usual, and then put my hair in rollers. Then I take the rollers out and put my hair up. For some reason, the curls from the rollers help it to stay up better.

Nioxin has an excellent line for products for your hairtype. The have all the products you'll need. For styling try a curly style rather than a straight style that will fall limp and flat. It's really all about the haircut too. Find a stylist who is experienced working with your hairtype and he/she can cut your hair so it promotes it's best appearance.

My hair is also very fine but naturally curly.. I color and highlight it, the color fills it so it is not so flyaway and easier to blow dry. I use a large round brush to tame the curl and give definition. I cannot use gels, they weigh it down and make my hair stringy. I use a light spray in conditioner and a dab of Potion 9 before I blow dry and a non alcohol spritz of hairspray on the top only for volume.

i've got the same hair prob, but i get bored with my hair reeeeal quick. SO i dye it a lot and do lots of hairstyles. try stuff. you'll never know what you'll like. experiment. it's fun. and to get it to stay, AND for GREAT volume use "Big Sexy Hair"... sounds super dumb but it works wonders. you can only get it in salons, so watch out for the price though... ouch!
