Hi im 18 and my childs father is 27 we have a very good relationship despite our age difference. What would you do if you fell in love with someone 9 years older than you?

Age is just a number.My god look at some of those celebs especially Anna Nicole now that is gross.I would not worry about what people will think as long as you are happy.

I think hmmmm he thinks he is a very lucky guy and there is no problem with being with a guy older then you as long as he has respect and isnt controlling ( some get like that ) if you are happy what do u care what other people think ? however as time goes on and you both age you will see a difference and probably so will he as you are still a child yourself and yet to experience the world how he has .I guess you should stay open with conversation and talk about everything that worries you always and just remember as long as it feels right for you that is all that is important !!!! Also just cause he has lived his wild youthful days dont stop doing things you want to do because you have a child and a bf older if you do stop yourself you will have regrets when you are older !!!! goodluck and stay happy !!!

Well, if there's already a child -- it's too late to worry about it now!
Love doesn't check the ID first, and love doesn't care what others think!
My son's father was 7 years older than I, and my ex-boyfriend was 6 years younger than I. Honestly, 9 years isn't all that big a difference, anyway. If you had said 49 years, you'd get different reactions.

That age difference is similar to my parents and as women of 18 are more mature than men of 18 suggests your ages as in maturity are closer than ( yrs., also he has had a chance to adjust to the change in his sex urges of puberty to 22-25 . He is most likely to be stable and thoughtful of you and your child however the question you raised is not mentioned . Does he want to be the Father and if so marriage is the optimum situation for the three of you and any more to come. Marry Him! My parents were married nearly 60yrs till death parted them for a little while.

i'm older than my hubby, and we're married 22 yrs. now, it's only about love, not age. i'm not into his kind of music- but big deal.
