I submitted my tshirt site on yahoo 6 weeks ago and it's still not listed. Google either. How do I know if they rejected it for some reason and how long before I should resubmit? Any other details about site submission I should know would be appreciated too.

Search Engine Submission should be a college course and probably will be someday. Google puts you way down on the list if you don't pay them coin, and Yahoo still has a real person looking at your listing first. If the guy/gal at yahoo decided you were listing in the wrong category, you get rejected.
The easiest way to see if your site is being listed is to use site tracking and look for the crawlers and bots. Your hosting company should be giving you a control panel with site tools or even the lowly old webalizer for statistics.
There are some great tools for use at http://www.domaintools.com/ put your web address into the search box and then check the SEO browser to see what the results are. Google also has its webmaster tools, and of course a simple robots.txt file helps get things to list you pretty quickly.
Good luck.

Yahoo never reject sites. It clear says at the bottom of the "submit my site" page that Yahoo can never guarantee content will be added quickly unless you use the pay function.
My advise, re submit the site again.
