I am doing an opinion essay on video game violence, and if the nature and level of violence in video games is becoming an increasing concern. I need three arguments, but I can't seem think of a last one. Here is what I have so far:

"An increasing cause for concern associated with the nature and level of violence in video games is primarily due to a variety of research and studies done providing a potential link between violent video games and adverse behaviour among players, however, secondary concerns include the possible negative effects related to a child’s social development and the game play itself ensuing addiction and obsession amongst users. "

I know there are three arguments there, but I am uncertain about using the addiction one as it doesn't have a whole lot to do with actual VIOLENCE in video games. Anyone have any other ideas???? Much appreciated!!

Video games are not to blame. Where do you think they get their ideas from. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is merely cashing in on the violent black culture. I grew up on Dirty Harry and other violent movies, and have played some of the most violent video games out there. I've never killed anyone in my life.

Stupid parents breed stupid children.

Definitely use the addiction one - not capable of stopping the habit. Do the games give the skills necessary to perform the violent act?

personally i think that the effects of video games on children is mostly desensitizing of them to violence . if you have a child who is already hard to discipline, it should be you re responsibility to monitor them and what they play . i feel that some not all of parents have used things such as video games and TV as an excuse not to maintain a proper discipline in there children . it is easier to say it is the fault of entertainment, than to say its my fault.parents need to accept responsibility and not assign fault to something that is in there control
