Did you know that your thumbs are not really fingers? ( My Teacher said that) But if they not, then what are they really?

Your teacher is teaching you wrong stuff. The thumb is one of the five finger. Some ill informed people would use the term finger on only the 4 other ones, as some crazy technical self-important classification, just to get interesting, and it unfortunately caught on (see link).
The word "finger" derives from a old word that means "five", how can the thumb thus not be a finger then?
And in medicine, the thumb is called the first finger.
Tell you teacher to go back to school, as a student. There is a gap in your teacher's knowledge...

"Finger" can be a loose term. It all depends on what people mean by fingers. When I say "fingers", I usually mean to include thumbs
