What is the difference between indoor, outdoor, and bedroom clothes?

Today except for formal wear most of these clothes are interchangeable. People wear sweats to bed or lingerie out to clubs. It gets confuddling.

The weight of the fabric is a major difference. The type of fabric and often the print or lack of it varies.

Bedroom clothing is lingerie, sleepwear, robes, that sort of thing. Oh and don't forget the fuzzy slippers with bunny ears! The fabrics are often silky and delicate or warm and cuddly like lighter fleece and soft flannel. Patterns on these tend to go from the bizarre to the delicate and elegant.

Indoor clothing is like work clothing, house dresses, slacks, and can include very formal wear for special events. Of course one needs a cover up if it is cool because the fabric, while too heavy for most sleepwear, is still too light for outdoors. Almost any fabric is used for indoor wear.

OUtdoor wear is heavier of course. Coats are heavy or light as the weather dictates but intended to cover the indoor wear beneath and keep one warm. Outoor weather is often especially treated for various things, such as dryness, or wind break. This clothing also includes most sports wear like fleece jogging suits

However, everything changes and each day new fabrics come on the market bringing new ideas to clothing and allowing the wearer to mix and match more often.

Even in India where women wear the traditional sari, there is much difference in what is worn by season and by occasion. A woman would never wear a light silk sari trimmed with gold to do her grocery shopping in the day. This would be an evening outfit. She would wear one of a more durable fabric and perhaps wrap it differently.

These crossovers I mentioned earlier are more practiced by women than men. Men tend to be more conservative when it comes to apparel.

OMG, you don't know? It's really simple. Indoor you wear comfterble clothes, clothes that don't apply to the weather. Outdoor clothes are the opposite. Outdoor clothing appies to the weather, like if it is hot out maybe some shorts and a tank top. Bedroom clothes are langeray and pajamas

indoor clothes are things you may wear out on a date or something like that. also it's stuff you wear casually when your going places. not too out there, but can be formal or casual. outdoor clothes are for like swimming or hiking or activities like that. bedroom clothes are for behind closed doors, things that only you and your bf/gf or wife/husband should see. like lingere and things like that.

The really funny thing is that in China often there is no difference. I live in Shanghai and often I see people walking in their pajamas in stores, on the street and in Restaurants. I think it just comes down to what is acceptable in your culture and what the temperature is outside.
