Prince of Tennis: does the Thrill Pair actually play in the anime?

i know that it consists of Fuji and Ryoma, but is it just a pairing used by fans?

I don't think so. But Fuiji and Ryoma are my fav. characters in Prince of Tennis. lol

Yes in episode 39-40 they have a practice match that gets interrupted by rain. They were going to continue their match, but Rysuuki-sensai, the coach stopped them.
