The first thing you need to know is that you are strong and can do just about anything. I had a hard time when I was younger and my husband was first deployed A LOT of the time. I finally realized that I couldn't stop living just because he was gone. I got a baby sitter and went out with my friends. I even made a driving trip from Tacoma to Florida with 3 small kids and a dog.
Lets be honest here. Even though you love your husband more than any one else in the world, and you miss him so much, it is nice to have a break. One less person to clean up after.
On a serious note. DON'T watch the news every day. It will just drive you crazy. Get out of the house and do things. Good luck to you.

My friend had a deployed spouse and she found several groups on-line for her situation. I believe it was mostly wives - you didn't indicate whether you are male or female. She really found a lot of support through them. She also found an actual group in her area. I highly recommend connecting with one of these groups - they truly can empathize and understand what you are going through like no one else can. Good luck - I hope they get to come home soon.

I suggest first you look at some books telling of fisherman's wife's. Then find a group of your peers. Do not make a mistake?
