I love your humor!! You just wish your Red Sox were as good as the Yankees!! Don't hate the Yankees, be pissed at your Boston management for making dumb choices. $102M for a triple A pitcher from Japan. How stupid was that??

Lineup: David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez make up the best 3-4 combo in the majors, but it's essential for the hitters in front of and behind the big bashers to produce, something that was absent in 2006. The Red Sox don't have speed aside from Coco Crisp, so they rely on on-base percentage and extra-base hits. Jason Varitek and Crisp need to bounce back from subpar seasons, and newcomers J.D. Drew and Julio Lugo must stay healthy and produce.
Rotation: Will it be a good one or an elite one? The answer lies in how Jonathan Papelbon perfoms and wheter Dice-K lives up to the hype (and the price tag). If Papelbon can be effective as he was as the closer, the Red Sox have themselves a serious complement to Curt Schilling. Throw in Josh Beckett and Tim Wakefield, and this rotation is formidable.
Bullpen: It's tough to get a read without knowing who the closer is. Mike Timlin, Manny Delcarmen and Craig Hansen are more equipped to set up game. Timlin is due for a lighter workload, and Delcarmen and Hansen still have control problems.
All I can say is GO SOX! WS ahead!

Yankee fans are chipper now. Keep flapping your gums.
Sox have a better team than the Yankees. Anyone who knows baseball can see that.
Do the Yankees have a strong enough team to win the World Series? Sure. They won't though.
Red Sox over the Phillies in 6.

Won't even make the playoffs buddy. Sorry, ur lovable 2nd place finishers r now the lovable 3rd place finishers.
If the Yankees suck, than the Red Sox must be the worst team in baseball, cause the Yanks r 3x better than the Red Sox can dream of being.

It's why we have hope every Spring. This could be the year. Schilling, Matsuzaka, Beckett, Wakefield, Snyder, as starters, Tavares, Timlin, Donnelly, Pineiro, in the bullpen, and with the crowd screaming as he runs in, Jonathan Papelbon closing. Can't you just feel October?

I do think the Redo Sox go to the WS, because I feel they have the best rotation in the American league. Also, it doesn;t hurt to have Papi and Manny in the heart of the lineup.

Im a huge Red Sox fan living on Toronto, and evry1 keeps asking me if the Red Sox are gonna do well, or even win the WS. Right now without a doubt the Red Sox are the best team on paper. I think if all our Starting Pitchers stay healthy and win at least 13+ games, we will have a great shot at the title. All we got to hope for is the opposite of what happened last year with a ton of injuries and AA call ups starting games, while Kevin Youkilis is starting in LF. That was sad. Ortiz needs to hit 50+ HR's. and Ramirez needs to hit his 500th. Lugo needs to be a consistent lead off, something we didnt have last year, and Pedroia needs to hit .250 at least. The fielding % needs to be the same as last year, best in the league, and our bullpen needs to NOT blow games like last year. Our closer, whoever it is, needs to be like Papelbon last year and get at least 30 saves. But as long as we are healhty we will be in the playoffs!
Go Sox, All the way baby!!!
Peace

Wishful thinking. They will not make it. The Red Sox will be lucky to win their next championship in 2090. Has the Yankees gotten Randy Johnson in 2004, the collapse WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED!!!!!! Yankees will take it. Suck on that Red Sox fans.
