I think you misunderstood. Edwin was teasing Derek about liking Casey in that episode "Crushing the Coach". Derek's problem was that he knew something that Casey should know but he didn't want to tell her because of his pride or something. But not telling her was making him crazy. I think it is a hint though.

You have to think that given Derek hits on any girl with a pulse. Casie is only related by marriage. If their parents had not found each other first who knows if they would not have become a couple? Of course they want you to think He will go out with the neighbor eventually. Another Greg and Marcia.

They are borhter and siter! Well stepsister and stepbrothers but even so I do not think so becuase just imagine them going out! People know them as brother and sister so its like your going out with your brother. I have no doubt that he does not have feelings for er. He always is annoyed by her and shes annoyed with him. I dont find one chance they might go out! Sorry to burst your bubbble or anything but that is what I think! Good Luck finding the best answer!
