Would it offend you if someone tried to speak in an English or British accent? Anyway, whats the difference between those two?

no, not at all. theirs many different accents in england and even more in britain. british accents include scottish and welsh as well as english ones.

Well British isnt really an accent there are English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh, i would take it on the chin most people would, there are alot of different accents too in England some are pretty weird but i wont get into that :D

There are hundreds of different British accents. There are variations in villages a mere 20km apart. The accents and dialectal variation in Great Britain are such that people from different parts of the country cannot understand each other unless they modify their dialect somewhat.

If you are going to attempt a British accent, try a real one and not the Hollywood idea of how upper-class Brits speak.

Not necessarily. There are a wide variety of "English" accents ranging from Yorkshire to Cornwall.
