Personally hamstrings for me is a biggie !
Legs are strong but the hammies are not... What i did back then is to squat without any weights first... for a long time and then rather use small dumb bells then a bar weight when you ready to do it with weight. Also rather do hamstrings on the machine opposed to squatting.

To sort you our for now, use Arnica ointment straight onto the muscle. There are also plenty good supplements from Solgar that would help replenish the muscle tissue quicker. Rest for a few weeks before training and drink plenty water.

Sounds like you gave muscles/tendons that aren't normally used an intense burst of exercise without enough warmup to those exact muscles/tendons... Try a few minutes of stationary biking before doing squats, and some runners hamstring stretches after... If they are still really hurting, you might have pulled the Achilles tendon and they don't heal fast... call your clinic and ask to speak to a sports medicine nurse (your gym might have a sports med guru too...) Don't do squats for a few more days either way... give them a chance to recover fully beforehand... Good luck! Ed, RN.

You just over did it. Take it easy, but don't do nothing. Do a light work out - maybe after a hot shower so that your muscles are good and warmed up before you start. You can also take a hot epsom salt bath to loosen the hamstring muscles. I did that with a pilates work out not that long ago and the pain subsided in 5 days or so.

Peace!

You where streching your hamstings you stained them. I suggest heat and in a few days they should do fine. What I do since I bowl and working on concert seems to tighten them up. I just try to touch my toes every day. Don't force it or your be right back where you at now. When you can touch your toes then a squat trust should even be obtainable.
