Pollacks career appears to be over. The Drs have said that it would be extremely risky for him to return but I seen an interview with him and he seems okay with retiring before he ever got a chance. He is pretty religious and is comfortable with what he feels is Gods decision to take the game of football away from him so he can accomplish other goals. It is too bad, he had a chance to be pretty good given the passion he displayed but he is happy and over time will be healthy. He has his family and faith so all anyone can do is wish him well.

He was scheduled to have the fracture in his neck operated on to repair it. The doctors have told him that if he would like he could return to football, but has an increased risk of permanent damage if he gets injured again. He has stated that he will go through with the surgery and start a comeback, but if he feels anything wrong while rehabbing, then he will retire.

Not so great. I think the surgery he will go under will end his football career. But health should come before the game anyways, and Pollack knows that and will make the right choice. It's a shame since he's one heck of a player and I watched him play at UGA.

Let's face it, the guy's a family man, he doesn't want to be in a wheelchair the rest of is life. I guess he's gonna end his career now.
Anyway if he comes back, he's gonna protect himself all the time, this will make him soft on the field. He doesn't want that, the Bengals don't want that.
I'm sorry for the kid, it's a bad break... No punt intended.
So, I say his football career is over.
