How can I change the amount of time before I have to log in again?

i presume its yahoo!, if its yahoo, log into ur mail, yahoo answers and click the "My Account" link near sign out and log into ur account and click the First edit button (there are two), and u will get a screen asking u to edit the details and on that the last drop down menu (in general preferences category) will say prompt for password and on that select ur setting...

Double click the time display on the down right corner of your screen and you can change time, zone etc
