is it because they hate me?

I find that people, males and females alike seem to avoid me. I find that they have a difficult time looking me in the eye when I speak to them and their body language indicates that they appear very uncomfortable. But usually if they get to know me better everything is normal. What am I doing to make these people feel uncomfortable around me?When I look them in the eye, could l possibly look angry. I've never been called ugly and actually alot of women think i'm hot but why can't people look at me?

they might find you some what intimidating! what do you look like? what do you dress like? do you smile openly or often? chances are they are simply shy, try this when you meet some body that you want to get to know, offer them your hand to shake right off the bat! look them in the face and give them a nice big grin! you would be surprised at how much people will drop their uncomfortable body language! chances are they assume that you are either a snob or if your popular they may think that your pretentious, if your a tough guy they might be afraid, if your a bit of a free thinker they might think your a freak. just remember, eye contact, smile, be open, shake hands! human beings are full of prejudices, and first impressions are always strong I guarantee you that if you smile at some body, they will take a second look at their prejudices towards you and thing will change. or maybe you just have a hard gaze, but that too can most of the times be remedied by a smile, just make sure that the smile is not a sharks smile or they might think that you just want to eat them, and remember to introduce yourself don't let others do it for you, it makes you look snobby.

They cannot hate someone they do not know, so the answer is no. Some people are just not people persons and they are uncomfortable with those they do not know. They do not trust people. I usually smile a lot at anyone. I still get those looks occasionally, but in generally if you smile and say hello first they will feel more comfortable as long as you are not in their personal space. Guys tend to think that friendly guys might be gay or girls may think they are trying to get into their pants. It is hard in this day in age to be friendly without someone taking it the wrong way. Some people are intimated by someone who they think is good looking. I use to think why is that good looking guy looking and talking to ME? It was an insecurity thing with me. Be yourself and they will come around.

I try to be the same to everyone and word gets around that I am just a friendly person. Just don't go overboard. Smile at everyone. You will get that comment that you always smile.

There could be a number of reasons people might not make eye contact or seem comfortable around you.

Strong eye contact by you may appear confrontational

Perhaps they do not like the topic you discuss

Perhaps you stand too close to people when you speak with them

Perhaps you have body odor or bad breath and they are uncomfortable

Perhaps they are not actually avoiding you but the average person may simply make less eye contact than you do or you expect

Maybe u have some beautiful eyes and those persons are uncimfortable because they are too exiced. U never ask u'reselve maybe people consider u different that u tink. U said nobody tell call u ugly... After all, what u aspect, to everybody stay ay u're feet? Or maybe u're look is full of atitude,and make them leave the head down. If everything is all righ it's OK!
But most important, is what people see behind the eyes. Think about!

You say that once people get to know you that they like you.
You more than likely are doing something to turn people away you should talk to your friends and find out what it is but take the criticism as them trying to help you don't let it hurt your feelings.
Then again maybe you just live in a unfriendly area and your the only nice person around the rest of the people are just jerks

People are mirrors acting out and reflecting back the subconscious messages you send out them. Look at it from a different perspective and see if you notice the change. Look them in the eye, smile and say "Hi!" The may think your crazy but that's better than them not thinking of you at all right?

Maybe youre either invading peoples personal space zone, maybe youre talking too loud

Or you could be so good looking that some ppl feel intimdated..Ive had that happen to me when in the presence of someone so hott all you want to do is run away ASAP and go work on your hotness

Umm..do you appear intimidating? I have this teacher in my class, i find it hard to look her in the eyes...we're close, but she have this power about her, a powerful presence. I try my best to stare back, its awkward, but i dont know why, i guess i just have repsect for her?

hey maybe you have an idea why they might hate you....or something you're hiding, and you're thinking that maybe everyone knows this thing that you're hiding...but they're not telling you? its probably psychological, i would say, ummm you're probably guilty of something lol and its naggin' at you.

Sometimes other guys are intimidated by other males, and women if you are really nice looking can see you as ,unreachable. Just try smiling more when you meet someone for the first time it may help to ease their own insecurities.

Maybe you make them nervous, or maybe your giving off a bad vibe. Try smiling more and being alot nicer, that will help people personify you as a nice guy and they wont seem so uncomfortable around you either.
