If the moon exploded, what would happen to us?

if the moon exploded,then we would most likely all freeze. How is this possible you ask? The moon controlls all of the oceans activity i.e when the moon is close to us the waves are magnetically attached and they pull toward the moon. This doesn't really do much for the moon but to us it causes high tide and low tide, and storms. if the moon exploded then earths orbit would be thrown off of its axis and we would either freeze or burn up. also chunks of "moon" could come crashing down to earth and result in destruction. it depended on how the moon exploded as well. If it simply fell apart then chunks would be thrown down to earth, but if it literaly exploded, the the force would push earth on a diff rent axis, thus days would be either freezing or burning or be extended or decreased. either way all of humanity would die. but don't worry there is no possible way the moon will exploded, unless you found a way to place a couple tons of dynamite in the moons core, which is probably iron based.

Pieces of the moon would probably get caught the Earth's gravitational pull and heavily damage Earth, possibly blowing it up.
