Hi, my engine warning light comes on as i switch the ignition on. It goes off when i start the engine. Is this normal, or is there a fault?

Normal, all lights should light up and then go off. If it stays on it could mean you need a tune up, some cars are programmed for the light to go on when it is time for regular service visits.

the easy is a demonstration that something in the engine isn't working because it would. If could be something incredibly straightforward or something extra complicated. My suggestion would be to take the vehicle in for a diagnostic examination to be certain have been the priority is. Ja.
