i think that was the point in a movie named 'Men in Black' huh ?
Basically one can get the impression that mankind is way to stupid to develop things like this on their own. But since we al know the history how it was developped and still can interview those guys who invented this kind of technology its a little to early to call it a hoax or an alien invention.
but give it 20 to 50 years and we all agree in your theory, because if we hear it that it MIGHT emerges from where you say it possibly originates from we just need to hear it 100.000 times and we believe.

PCs are a natural evolution the transistor and integrated circuits.
There are companies that have reverse engineered IC components but the techniques required to build microprocessors are so complicated that there are not many competitors.
There are probably millions or billions of technological alien species through out the universe that have similar tools like the microprocessor but they developed them themselves.
No alien ever has or ever will visit earth.
You can be sure they have the same thoughts and questions about us.

there is evidense to suport that if you read testemony about the interiors of alien craft you can clearly see someone discribing light emiting diodes decades before their recognized invention.
