I was given a lush mustard cardie and want to wear it with a green top and dark blue jeans but my other half thinks I should wear brown trousers but I think it looks like vomit, help needed please!

try a dark blue, or black. don't have a half grounded colour next to mustard yellow.

I also have a gorgeous mustard cardie from topshop and i normally wear it with grey top and grey jeans to show off the colour best but jeans will work fine as long as they are dark navy denim im not so sure about the green top tho maybe black navy or grey something a little less but if you really want to wear green then go really funky and mismatched with like pink earings and a red belt and turquoise shoes make sure all yr jewellery is that cheap rocky plastic i think that look would be hott!!!

I like the blue jeans they go with everything,I think the green top,
maybe should be dark blue to go with Mustard,or light pastel,
baby blue,or beige creme color top.I think green is the color problem.Brown goes with Mustard color.Try a light brown top
with brown pant.

i love the mustard colour!!
i think black and brown also would go well. but i also think teal and a dark red/maroon colours will go nicely. maybe black jeans, mustard top with a teal belt?? guess it just depends on what u feel comfortable in.
I'm sure whatever u wear with the top will look fine as long as you like it and feel comfortable wearing it.

You see now before I read you question in full my immediate thought was brown... but u dnt have to wear brown trousers unless ur gonna get some really quality that fits u to a tee... and that can be expensive and hard to find... but u cn mixed brown or a dark kind of olive greeen top with it.. accessorize with some gold too.
It's nice to know ur value ur partners opinion when it comes to dressin. I cudn't give a toss what my partner thinks he never complains lolol

Definately not brown. This years colours are vivid greens and dark purples so your initial idea seems very good. Brown will pull the mustard down instead of enhancing it. Go with your instincts they sound good.

The first selection of green and dark blue jeans match that color better. Make sure that you complete the wardrobe with jewlery too!
